WHAT HAPPENS ON THE DAY
Here's how your paint party flows
We arrive & set up (30 mins early)
Floor covers, easels, canvases, paints and brushes — all set up before your first guest arrives. You don't lift a finger.
Guests arrive & get settled
We welcome everyone, get them set up at their easel and run through how the session will work. Great music on from the start.
Guided painting begins
Step-by-step guidance from your Scriblz host — with freedom to add personal flair at every stage. No pressure, just fun.
Fun activity break
We pause for a game, dance break or quiz — whatever suits the age group. Keeps the energy up and the kids engaged.
Cake time & celebrations
We pause painting for cake, singing and birthday celebrations. We help facilitate so you can actually enjoy the moment.
Final touches & group photo
Everyone finishes their masterpiece, we do a group photo, and guests take their canvas home with pride.
We pack up & clean everything
Every last brush, cover and drop of paint. We leave your space exactly as we found it — or cleaner.

Access to a toilet for Scriblz staff, enough space to host your guests, and a backup plan if you're hosting outdoors. We're happy to help set up any decorations you bring too!

Questions about paint parties
Will kids struggle if they're not good at art?
Not at all. Everything is broken down into simple steps and our hosts guide the whole process. Every single guest leaves feeling proud of what they made — including the ones who said they couldn't paint!
How messy is a paint party?
We manage the mess from start to finish — floor covers, surface protection, water and full clean-up are all included. Parents are always pleasantly surprised by how clean everything is.
Can we do it outside?
Yes — just make sure you have a backup indoor option in case of weather. We'll discuss this with you before your booking is confirmed.
Can we request a custom design?
Yes! Custom paintings are available with at least 14 days notice for an additional $65. Just mention it when you book and we'll take care of everything.
How do I choose the artwork design?
Browse our gallery and let us know your preferred design when you book. We'll confirm it suits your group's age and ability — and we can guide you if you're not sure.
Is face painting available with paint parties?
Face painting is not available as an add-on with paint parties. It is available with slime and colourdough parties. If you'd like face painting, check out those options!
