WHY THIS MATTERS TO US
More than just cleaning up after ourselves
When you invite Scriblz into your home, we bring paint, slime ingredients, colourdough and a whole lot of creative energy. With that comes a responsibility to manage materials, water and waste in a way that's genuinely respectful — of your home, your family and the environment.
This isn't a marketing checkbox. Genevieve spent years working in care roles where doing things properly — especially the things no one's watching — really mattered. That same mindset carries into every Scriblz party.
We're a small business and we don't claim to be perfect. But we're genuinely committed to doing better wherever we can, and we'll always be honest about where we're still improving.
OUR COMMITMENTS
What we actually do
These are our current eco practices — specific, honest and in plain language. No greenwashing.
Minimal material waste
We plan our material quantities carefully to avoid over-ordering. Leftover paints, slime ingredients and colourdough materials are stored properly and reused across future parties.
What this means for you: Nothing goes in your bin — we take any waste materials with us and manage their disposal responsibly.
Take-home items that last
Everything guests take home — canvases, slime containers, colourdough pots — is designed to be used and enjoyed, not immediately thrown away. We include care instructions to maximise the life of every creation.
Slime & colourdough: With proper care, both can be enjoyed for up to a month — reducing single-use waste from the party experience.
Responsible water disposal
We never pour paint water down your sink, into the garden or down stormwater drains. Paint water contains pigments that can harm waterways and block pipes.
What we do instead: All paint water is collected in sealed containers and disposed of at an appropriate facility. Every single party, no exceptions.
Eco-friendly supply choices
Wherever a genuinely better environmental option is available — and meets our quality standards — we choose it. This includes eco-glitter, non-toxic paints and biodegradable materials.
Ongoing work: We're continuously reviewing our supply chain to find better options. This is an area we're actively improving.
Efficient travel planning
We plan our party schedule to minimise unnecessary travel. Where possible, we group parties in the same area on the same day to reduce our overall travel footprint.
Looking ahead: As Scriblz grows, reducing travel emissions is an area we're actively thinking about and working to improve.
Your home protection
We use floor covers and surface protection at every party — not just to protect your home, but to prevent paint, slime or colourdough from ending up where it shouldn't.
Our promise: We treat your home with the same care we'd want for our own. We've never left a party space in worse condition than we found it.

Non-toxic paints
All paints used in Scriblz parties are non-toxic and safe for children. No harmful chemicals, no nasty fumes.

Our colourdough is made by hand in small batches — no unnecessary packaging, no artificial preservatives.
